Concrete block walls, also known as cinder block walls, are common in both residential and commercial construction. They offer strength, durability, and fire resistance, but they can be prone to moisture penetration and heat loss. Proper insulation and moisture control are essential to enhance the performance and comfort of concrete block walls.

Insulating concrete block walls is essential to improve the energy efficiency, comfort, and durability of a building. Proper insulation helps in maintaining consistent indoor temperatures, reducing energy costs, and preventing moisture-related issues.

Use: SmartSHIELD 48 Inch, 10M, Fast Action, White or 72 Inch.

Floor:

1. Screw the first metal strapping to the concrete blocks to create 1 inch air gap.
2. Attach SmartSHIELD with screw, tape (double sided tape) or glue (super metal sealant) SmartSHIELD to metal trapping.
3. Seal seams with reflective tape.
4. Install second strapping.
5. Apply Drywall.

SmartSHIELD can be used as standalone or supplemental insulation. You can apply 1 or 2 layers. If applying two layers of SmartSHIELD separate layers with strapping/furring strip.
